Privacy policy

This page explains what information Digital Age collects through this part of our website, our request and opt-out forms and our emails to businesses, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written in plain English.

Who we are

Digital Age is a business improvement company. We are based in Sri Lanka and work with clients remotely. You can reach us at contact@digitalagelk.com.

Our postal address is 32/1, Mahasen Mawatha, Nugegoda, Sri Lanka.

What we collect

• Preview request form. Your name, business name, email address, phone number if you give one, and anything you tell us about your current website.
• Opt-out form. The email address you want us to stop contacting.
• Emails. Anything you send us when you reply to us or write to us.
• Analytics. We use Google Tag Manager to run Google Analytics. It records information such as the pages you view, how you arrived, your device and browser type, your approximate location and clicks on buttons such as the call and form buttons. Google Analytics uses cookies or similar technology to do this.

How we find business email addresses

We contact businesses at email addresses the business has published itself, for example on its website, its Google Business Profile or a business directory. We write to the business about its website, not to private individuals.

How we use information

• To reply to you and to build the free preview you asked for, using your business name and what is publicly known about your business.
• To provide the service if you become a client, including sending payment requests and monthly analytics emails.
• To understand how people use this site so we can improve it.
• To respect opt-out requests.

We do not sell personal information.

Previews

If you do not take up a preview, we delete it after 30 days and do not contact you again.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run this website, send email, measure site use and handle payments, and only as much as they need to do that. Payments are made through a secure payment request from a payment provider, so your card details go to that provider, not to us. We may also share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

• Requests and emails: for as long as we need them to reply to you and, if you become a client, for as long as we provide the service and afterward only as long as we need them for records, tax and legal reasons.
• Opt-out requests: we keep the email address on a do-not-contact list, so that we can make sure we do not email it again.
• Analytics: for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account, after which Google deletes it.
• Spam protection: when a form is sent, our server keeps a scrambled code made from your IP address, and the time, so that it can slow down repeated automated sending. The code does not contain your address, and our server deletes it two days after your last form, at its next routine clean-up.

Your choices

• Stop our emails. Reply STOP to any email from us, or use our opt-out page. We act on it within two business days.
• See, correct or delete your information. Email contact@digitalagelk.com and tell us what you would like us to do.
• Limit analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out browser add-on for Google Analytics.

Where information is handled

We are based in Sri Lanka, and some of our service providers handle information in other countries, including the United States.

Children

This service is for businesses. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update it here and change the date at the top.
